Southern Rhône Valley, South of Drôme.
Vineyard of 440 Ha North-East South-West, situated on hillside. Soils are gravely, rich with limestone and sandy marl.
50% Grenache, 50% Syrah
Trellis system: "Gobelet" for the Grenache grapes and "Guyot" for the Syrah.
The grapes are hand and machine harvested at optimum maturity
Fermentation: some destemming takes place prior fermentation in stainless steel tanks, which lasts for 18 days with continuous pumping over.
Deep red colour with purplish tints.
Intense fragrance of black fruits and spicy flavours.
Great structure and balance with smooth tannins which will soften further with ageing. Long harmonious finish.
Perfect accompaniment to roasted meats, game and cheese.
